Motherhood is Wonderful

My Mom sent me a book for mothers day that was filled with beautiful artwork and quotes about motherhood. As I sat down and read through it, tears sprang from eyes, not from sadness but from the joy that I have experienced as a daughter and as a mother. I feel so extremely blessed! Motherhood is truly a divine responsibility and an "awesome" job to have! I feel so blessed to have the mother that I have, that has been such an amazing example for me and has been such a support to me my whole life. I also feel so blessed that Heavenly Father entrusted us with raising our two sons, who I sit back in awe as I look at them and am amazed by who they are! Motherhood is wonderful and my greatest blessing here on earth!

Father/Son Time

This past month Adam and Zack have been able to spend alot of father/son time together. Making preicous memories that they will always remember. I think that child/Dad memories are some of the best! Mom memories are made everyday with just (but equally important and special) the normal, routine stuff but with Dad, since they are at work most of the time, the memories always were usually special events or moments that you remember. This last month was a cluster of great moments for Zack and Adam!

First, Adam accompanied Zack's 6th grade class on a field trip to the Anacapa Islands. They had alot of fun on the boat with the dolphins swimming alongside and once at the islands they enjoyed hiking and the tidepools. Fun day!

Second, Adam's work has a "Bring your son to work day". Every year Matthew and Zack have gone but this year Matthew did not attend and it was just a day for Zack and Dad. Adam had a great time taking Zack to the dam and letting him actually release some water from it. Zack loved it and was amazed by the force of the water. Very cool! They look so cute in their hard hats :) So of course now Zack talks about being an Engineer like his Dad!

Third - Zack and Adam attended Scout Camporee together for the first time. I can't believe I have another Boy Scout to start on his road to Eagle! We just finished up with Matthew. But Zack has alot of enthusiasm for it so hopefully, like Matthew, he will be self-motivated and it won't take alot of nagging from Mom to earn his Eagle.

What a fun month for the two of them! I love having a son who loves hanging with his Dad and I love a Dad who is such a fine man and loves being with his sons! Precious moments :)
